Inspired by love of paper, and all things Japanese, I started Double Happiness Designs in 2004. I had always loved creating with paper, and took a number of classes in drawing, painting, bookbinding and printmaking. When I returned to my home province of Nova Scotia in 2003 - after living in Sydney, Australia for eight years - I took further studies in bookbinding at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. I was truly hooked by then, and started making small handbound books as gifts. With the encouragement of my family and friends, I began selling my books at markets and retail shops.
Double Happiness continues to grow and develop more products from my studio headquarters in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. If you want to read more about me and get a "behind the scenes" look at Double Happiness, please check out my blog - or check back here on a regular basis for news and upcoming events.
Thanks so much for stopping by, hope that you'll come back again soon.
